The Hopi tribe celebrated the Snakedance that lasted for 9 days. The celebration was for rain, peace, and food. Hopi clothing was also very important when they honored their god. They would dress in leather and animal skins and dance with rattlesnakes in their mouths.

The Hopi tribe is located in the southwest. The Hopi made their houses out of most of the stuff around them, like stone, rock, mud, and some times sticks. The Hopi houses were usually many stories high. The Hopi houses are called adobes. Some Hopi natives called the adobes tall pit houses.
The Hopi tribe lived in the Southwest. Rabbits are hard to catch in winter and spring because they have lots of energy. Hopi means good, peaceful, and wise.
